Carolina Cuts

The budget that the governor has proposed will result in the loss of 10,000 public service jobs. The loss of these jobs will make our roads less safe, our classrooms more crowded and our hospitals less able to care for those in need. Instead of cutting these vital public services and the people who provide them, the governor and legislature should focus on cutting wasteful spending and ending the tax breaks that are responsible for the current budget crisis. Smarter government, not fewer services, will save our state and maintain our pride in North Carolina.
